Love me Tonight!

Oration, oil on canvas 18"x24"x.25" inches by Kenney Mencher

Classic cinema, sequential images and comic books are all really powerful influences on me. This is a sequence out of the film the Maurice Chevalier film from 1932 "Love me Tonight" in which a Parisian tailor finds himself posing as a baron in order to collect a sizeable bill from an aristocrat, only to fall in love with an aloof young princess.

Here's a clip that features this character!
